What coworking space costs in India
The number a coworking brand quotes you is rarely the number you pay. This guide breaks a coworking bill into its parts, so you can compare two quotes on the same basis instead of the first headline figure.

The parts of a coworking bill
A coworking invoice is usually made of four things, and quotes differ mostly in which of them are bundled.
- The workspace itself: a hot desk, a dedicated desk, a private cabin, a private suite, or a managed office per seat.
- Time: a day pass buys one calendar day; a meeting room is usually bought by the hour; a membership buys a month.
- Services: reception, housekeeping, meeting-room credits, printing, and the support you get when something breaks.
- Taxes: GST applies, and a registered business can usually claim it back as input credit.
Why two quotes for the same thing differ
The most common reason is that the two quotes are not for the same thing. A quoted month in a private cabin and a quoted month in a dedicated desk are not comparable, and a quote that includes meeting-room credits is not comparable with one that does not.
The second most common reason is the city. Rents differ by a factor of several between a business district in one metro and a smaller city, and a hub that is cheap per square foot can still be expensive per desk if it is not full most of the day.
The third is the term. A longer commitment is normally worth a lower monthly figure. Ask what the monthly figure becomes at three, six and twelve months, and what happens if you need to move out.
What IA Spaces charges, and what it does not publish
IA Spaces does not publish prices on this site. Day pass and meeting room pricing depends on the hub and the day, and a cabin or managed office depends on the size of the team and the length of the commitment, so the team confirms each one rather than listing a number that would often be wrong.
That is deliberate: a published price that does not match what you are quoted is worse than no price. Ask for a quote and you will get the real figure for your hub, your dates and your team size. Call +91 80313 22007, email info@iaspaces.co, or message the team on WhatsApp at +91 99588 83989.
What to ask for in a quote
Whatever you are comparing, ask these six questions so the answers are comparable.
- Is the figure per desk, per cabin, per seat, or per hour?
- What is included: internet, power backup, housekeeping, reception, printing, meeting-room credits?
- Is GST added, and can the invoice be raised against a company registration?
- What is the notice period, and what happens if the team outgrows the space?
- Can the space be upgraded as the team grows, and at what notice?
- Are meeting rooms included, or booked separately by the hour?
Questions
How much does a coworking space cost in India?
It depends on the format and the city: a day pass is bought by the day, a meeting room by the hour, and a desk, cabin or managed office by the month, with the monthly figure usually falling as the commitment grows. IA Spaces confirms the figure for your hub rather than publishing one, so call the team for a quote that matches your dates and team size.
Is GST charged on coworking space in India?
Yes. A registered business can usually claim the GST as input credit, which is why the day pass request form asks for your GST number. Ask for the invoice to be raised against your registration.
Is a day pass cheaper than a monthly membership?
A day pass is priced per calendar day and carries no commitment, so it is the cheaper option if you only need a desk occasionally. It stops being the cheaper option as soon as you are in the hub more than a few days a week.
How much is a private cabin in a coworking space?
It depends on the hub and on the length of the commitment, and it usually works out per desk rather than per cabin. The team will size the right cabin for your team and quote it.
Do coworking spaces in India have hidden charges?
The ones to watch for are meeting rooms booked by the hour, printing, and GST. Ask for all three in the quote so the comparison is like for like.
